At the time of bathing, especially, one should stand in the water in purity; one should remember Nārāyaṇa, meditate upon Him, and perform nyāsa by placing the mantra upon the hands and upon the body.
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It makes bathing a conscious sādhana: physical purification is joined with remembrance (smaraṇa), meditation (dhyāna), and mantra-placement (nyāsa) centered on Nārāyaṇa.
Bhakti is shown as continuous smaraṇa—remembering Nārāyaṇa even during routine acts like bathing—so daily karma becomes devotion through focused mind and reverent practice.
Ritual procedure (kalpa/ācāra) is emphasized through snāna-vidhi and nyāsa—methodical placement of mantra on hands and body as a practical discipline of worship.
