A king who seeks dharma must maintain and support the whole body of his servants. Even when one acts with sincere intent and right conduct, if the undertaking does not succeed, he should not abandon this duty.
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It frames righteous governance (rājadharma) as a spiritual discipline: supporting dependents is itself dharma, to be upheld even when outcomes are uncertain.
Bhakti is reflected as faithful duty and protection of others; serving and sustaining those under one’s care becomes an offering aligned with dharma, not merely a transactional act.
It emphasizes nīti and dharma-śāstra style governance—ethical application of duty and social order—rather than a specific Vedanga technique like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa.
