Rukmāṅgada–Vāmadeva Saṃvāda: Ahimsa, Hunting, and the Fruit of Dvādaśī-Bhakti
परितुष्टैर्द्विजैर्भक्तिर्जंतोर्भवति माधवे । द्वेष्यो भवति तै रुष्टैः सत्यमेतन्मयेरितम् ॥ ४५ ॥
parituṣṭairdvijairbhaktirjaṃtorbhavati mādhave | dveṣyo bhavati tai ruṣṭaiḥ satyametanmayeritam || 45 ||
When the twice-born are pleased, a creature’s devotion to Mādhava (Viṣṇu) arises; but when they are angered, that person becomes hateful to them. This is the truth I have declared.

Indirectly, it emphasizes the living custodians of Vedic practice (connected with Vedāṅga-based ritual discipline): honoring dvijas who uphold śrauta/smārta conduct helps sustain proper karmakāṇḍa and dharma, which in turn stabilizes devotion.
