Adhyaya 58 — The Kurma-Form of Narayana: Mapping Bharata through Nakshatras, Regions, and Planetary Afflictions
tatra strātvā prakurvota dānahomādikaṃ vidhim / sa eṣa vaiṣṇavaḥ pādo brahmā madhye grahasya yaḥ / nārāyaṇākhyo 'cintyātmā kāraṇaṃ jagataḥ prabhuḥ
There, having performed the prescribed bathing or purificatory act, one should carry out the rite involving gifts, fire-offerings (homa), and the like. This is the Vaiṣṇava foot; and the Brahmā-principle that is in the middle of the planetary system is called Nārāyaṇa—of inconceivable nature, the Lord who is the cause of the world.

Affliction is met with purification and constructive action—charity and sacrifice—framing ‘remedy’ as ethical-religious responsibility, grounded in devotion to the cosmic Lord.
The theological claim ‘Nārāyaṇa is the cause of the world’ belongs to Sarga/Pratisarga theology; the ritual instruction is ancillary dharma/prāyaścitta guidance attached to the cosmology.
The ‘Vaiṣṇava foot’ suggests a sacred point of contact between cosmos and practitioner: by rites (bath, homa, dāna) one aligns the microcosm with the cosmic limb of Nārāyaṇa.
