Adhyaya 58 — The Kurma-Form of Narayana: Mapping Bharata through Nakshatras, Regions, and Planetary Afflictions
तथैव शोभनः पाकः दुःस्थितैश्च तथा ग्रहैः ।
अल्पोपकाराय नृणां देशज्ञैश्चात्मनो बुधैः ॥
tathaiva śobhanaḥ pāko duḥ sthitaiśca tathā grahaiḥ / alpopakārāya nṛṇāṃ deśajñaiścātmano budhaiḥ
Likewise, even an auspicious prognostication (pāka) becomes of little benefit to people when the planets are badly placed—so understand the wise who know the regions and discern for themselves.
