Adhyaya 50 — Mind-Born Progeny, Svayambhuva Manu’s Lineage, and Brahmā’s Ordinance to Duḥsaha (Alakṣmī’s Retinue)
कुद्दालदात्रपिटकं तद्वत् स्थाल्यादिभाजनम् ।
यत्र तत्रैव क्षिप्तानि तव दद्युः प्रतिश्रयम् ॥
kuddāla-dātra-piṭakaṃ tadvat sthāly-ādi-bhājanam | yatra tatraiva kṣiptāni tava dadyuḥ pratiśrayam ||
Where the spade, sickle, basket, and likewise pots and other utensils are thrown about here and there—those give you shelter (i.e., become an abode for you).
Material disorder is treated as moral-spiritual disorder. A well-run home requires care for tools and utensils; negligence becomes the ‘entry point’ for decline.

Scattered implements symbolize scattered attention. When mind and environment are fragmented, protective ‘śrī’ dissipates and inauspicious tendencies take hold.
