One acts only after consent (anujñā): even ritual ‘leftovers’ are handled with procedure, reflecting restraint and respect for the rite’s participants.
Ācāra/dharma instruction; not pañcalakṣaṇa.
Scattering food can be viewed as extending the rite’s merit outward—acknowledging unseen beings and the ecological/cosmic field that supports the ritual act.
