Adhyaya 31 — Naimittika and Related Śrāddha Rites: Sapiṇḍīkaraṇa, Eligibility, Timing, and Procedure
तेषामन्यश्चतुर्थो यः पुत्रलेपभुजान्नभुक् ।
सोऽपि सम्बन्धतो हीनमुपभोगं प्रपद्यते ॥
teṣām anyaś caturtho yaḥ putralepabhujānna-bhuk | so 'pi sambandhato hīnam upabhogaṃ prapadyate ||
And a fourth, distinct from those three, who eats the food partaken of as ‘lepa’ (remnant) by the son, also attains enjoyment, but diminished because the kinship is weaker.
