Adhyaya 29 — Alarka’s Inquiry and Madalasa’s Teaching on Householder Dharma (Gārhasthya), Vaiśvadeva, and Atithi Hospitality
ब्रह्मणे गृहमध्ये तु विश्वेदेवेभ्य एव च ।
धन्वन्तरिं समुद्दिश्य प्रागुदीच्यां बलिं क्षिपेत् ॥
brahmaṇe gṛhamadhye tu viśvedevebhya eva ca | dhanvantariṃ samuddiśya prāgudīcyāṃ baliṃ kṣipet ||
One should place a bali in the middle of the house for Brahmā and also for the Viśvedevas; and, designating Dhanvantari, one should cast a bali in the northeastern direction.
