Adhyaya 26 — Madālasa Names Alarka and Reorients Him Toward Kshatriya Duty
यथायथं बलं लेभे यथा लेभे मतिं पितुः ।
तथा तथात्मबोधञ्च सोऽवापन्मातृभाषितैः ॥
yathāyathaṃ balaṃ lebhe yathā lebhe matiṃ pituḥ / tathā tathātmabodhaṃ ca so 'vāpan mātṛbhāṣitaiḥ
As he gradually gained strength, and as he attained the understanding expected of his father’s lineage, so too, through his mother’s words, he came to self-knowledge.
