Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati

Sanskrit

फणामणिकृतोद्योतौ व्यक्तस्वस्तिकलक्षणौ ।

विलोक्य तौ सुरूपाङ्गौ विस्मयोत्फुल्ललोचनः ॥

Transliteration

phaṇāmaṇikṛtodyotau vyaktasvastikalakṣaṇau | vilokya tau surūpāṅgau vismayotphullalocanaḥ ||

Translation

They shone with the radiance produced by the jewels upon their hoods, bearing clearly visible auspicious svastika-marks. Seeing those two handsome-limbed youths, his eyes widened in astonishment.
