Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
द्रष्टुं कुवलयाश्वं तमिच्छामीति पुनः पुनः ।
ततः कुवलयाश्वोऽसौ समुत्थाय वरासनात् ।
यथाह तातेति वदन् प्रणाममकरोद्भुवि ॥
draṣṭuṃ kuvalayāśvaṃ tam icchāmīti punaḥ punaḥ / tataḥ kuvalayāśvo 'sau samutthāya varāsanāt / yathāha tāteti vadan praṇāmam akarod bhuvi
“(They said,) ‘I wish to see that Kuvalayāśva,’ again and again. Then that Kuvalayāśva rose from his excellent seat, and saying ‘So be it, dear one,’ he made obeisance on the ground.”
