Sanskrit

हते च तस्मिन् नृपतौ भगदत्ते नरेश्वरे ।

बहून्यहाऽन्यभूद्युद्धं कुरुपाण्डवसैन्ययोः ॥

Transliteration

hate ca tasmin nṛpatau bhagadatte nareśvare / bahūny ahāny abhūd yuddhaṃ kurupāṇḍavasainyayoḥ

Translation

And when that king—Bhagadatta, lord of men—had been slain, the battle between the armies of the Kurus and the Pāṇḍavas continued for many days thereafter.
