ज्ञानदानफलं ह्येतद्यज्जातिस्मरणं मम ।
न ह्येतत्प्राप्यते तात त्रयीधर्माश्रितैर्नरैः ॥
jñānadānaphalaṃ hy etad yaj jātismaraṇaṃ mama | na hy etat prāpyate tāta trayīdharmāśritair naraiḥ ||
This memory of my former births is indeed the fruit of knowledge and of giving. For, dear father, men devoted only to the religion of the Vedic triad—mere ritualism—do not attain this.
