अभिपत्य सुशर्माणं शरैरभ्याहनद्‌ भृशम्‌ । तत्पश्चात्‌ महारथी राजा युधिष्ठिर भी बड़ी उतावलीके साथ सुशर्मापर धावा बोलकर उसे बाणोंद्वारा बारंबार बींधने लगे

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

abhipatya suśarmāṇaṃ śarair abhyāhanad bhṛśam | tatpaścāt mahārathī rājā yudhiṣṭhiraḥ suśarmāṇam utāvalyā samabhyadhāvat, taṃ ca bāṇair bāhuśo vivyādha ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: Charging straight at Suśarmā, King Yudhiṣṭhira—the great chariot-warrior—struck him fiercely with a shower of arrows. Then, in urgent resolve, he rushed upon Suśarmā again and again, piercing him repeatedly with his shafts.
