tato 'bhyapatad atyugraḥ suśarmāṇam udāyudhaḥ
Then, fierce and fully armed, he rushed straight at Suśarmā—an act that signaled a warrior’s uncompromising resolve to meet aggression head-on, without hesitation.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the kṣatriya ethic of meeting hostility with decisive courage: when conflict is unavoidable, a warrior is expected to act with resolve, preparedness, and directness rather than hesitation.
In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, a fierce, fully armed warrior charges toward Suśarmā, indicating an immediate escalation into direct combat or confrontation.
