Virāṭa’s Mobilization to Recover the Cattle (गोधनरक्षणार्थ विराटस्य सैन्यसमायोजनम्)
तस्मात् क्षिप्रं विनिर्यामो योजयित्वा वरूथिनीम् | विभज्य चाप्यनीकानि यथा वा मन्यसेडनघ
tasmāt kṣipraṁ viniryāmo yojayitvā varūthinīm | vibhajya cāpy anīkāni yathā vā manyase 'naghā ||
Therefore, let us set out at once, after properly arraying the army. Having also divided the forces into separate divisions, we shall march quickly from here—or, O blameless one, we shall act exactly as you judge best.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Effective action in a crisis should be disciplined and well-organized (arraying and dividing the army), yet guided by prudent counsel and humility—deferring to the best judgment of the responsible leader rather than acting rashly.
Vaiśampāyana reports a decision to march out swiftly: the army is to be properly arranged and split into divisions for coordinated movement, while the final plan is left to the discretion of the person addressed as 'anagha' (blameless one).
