Virāṭanagara-nivāsa-nirṇaya
Decision to Reside in Virāṭa’s City
तत्र वासाय राष्ट्राणि कीर्तयिष्यामि कानिचित् । रमणीयानि गुप्तानि तेषां किज्चित् सम रोचय
tatra vāsāya rāṣṭrāṇi kīrtayiṣyāmi kānicit | ramaṇīyāni guptāni teṣāṃ kiñcit samārocaya ||
Arjuna said: “For dwelling there, I shall mention some kingdoms—pleasant and well-concealed. From among them, choose one according to your own preference.”
अजुन उवाच
Practical dharma in adversity: act with foresight and restraint, choosing a safe and discreet refuge so that a righteous goal (completing the exile without detection) is protected.
At the outset of the Virāṭa episode, Arjuna proposes to name several pleasant, hidden realms suitable for residence during the incognito period, inviting the leader to choose among them.
