अगस्त्यस्य वित्तयाचनं तथा इल्वलोपभिक्षणनिर्णयः

यौवनस्थामपि च तां शीलाचारसमन्विताम्‌ | न वव्रे पुरुष: कश्चिद्‌ भयात्‌ तस्य महात्मन:,यद्यपि वह युवती और शील एवं सदाचारसे सम्पन्न थी तो भी महात्मा अगस्त्यके भयसे किसी राजकुमारने उसका वरण नहीं किया

Transliteration

yauvanasthām api ca tāṁ śīlācārasamanvitām | na vavre puruṣaḥ kaścid bhayāt tasya mahātmanaḥ ||

Translation

Though she was in the bloom of youth and endowed with good character and proper conduct, no man chose her in marriage, for all were afraid of that great-souled sage, Agastya.
