Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya

Having stayed there for a single night, a person becomes honored and established in the heavenly world. From there one should proceed to Goprātāra, an excellent sacred ford associated with the Sarasvatī. O great king, by the sanctifying power of that tīrtha, the hero Śrī Rāmacandra—together with his attendants, warriors, and conveyances—bathed there and then attained his eternal abode.
The verse teaches that disciplined restraint and single-pointedness, when joined to reverent observance at a sacred place, purify a person and are said to lead to honor and establishment in heaven; it frames pilgrimage as an ethical-spiritual practice rather than mere travel.
The speaker continues a tīrtha-māhātmya sequence, stating the fruit of staying one night at a particular holy spot and then instructing the listener to proceed next to the sacred ford called Goprātāra, praised as an excellent tīrtha connected with the Sarasvatī.
