अयमर्थो न संवेद्यो भीमे मात: कदाचन । त्वत्संनिधौ नियोक्ष्ये5हं सुदेव॑ द्विजसत्तमम्‌,“माँ! पिताजीको यह बात कदापि मालूम न होनी चाहिये। मैं तुम्हारे ही सामने विप्रवर सुदेवको इस कार्यमें लगाऊँगी। तुम ऐसी चेष्टा करो, जिससे पिताजीको मेरा विचार ज्ञात न हो। यदि तुम मेरा प्रिय करना चाहती हो तो तुम्हें इसके लिये सचेष्ट रहना होगा

Translation

“Mother! Let my father, the king, never learn of this. Here in your very presence I shall appoint the foremost of brāhmaṇas, Sudeva, to this task. Strive so that my intent does not become known to my father. If you wish to do what is dear to me, you must exert yourself in this.”
