Educational Q&A

This line is a colophon, not a didactic verse; its function is to frame the narrative by marking the end of a chapter and locating it within the larger ethical tale of Nala, where endurance, self-control, and steadfastness amid adversity are central.

The text is concluding Adhyāya 61 of the Nala episode in the Vana Parva, specifically the segment describing Nala’s journey in the forest; it signals closure of the chapter rather than advancing the plot.
