Vaiśampāyana said: Approaching Yudhiṣṭhira, Sañjaya paid him due honor. Then Bhīma, Arjuna, and the twins Nakula and Sahadeva also received him appropriately, observing the courtesies owed to a respected messenger and elder—an act that reflects disciplined conduct (dharma) even amid hardship.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct through proper reception and honoring of a visitor—especially a respected messenger—showing that courtesy, restraint, and respect remain obligations even in adversity.
Sañjaya comes to Yudhiṣṭhira; Yudhiṣṭhira honors him, and then Bhīma, Arjuna, and the twins Nakula–Sahadeva also welcome and honor him in a fitting manner.
