क्रियतामविशड्केन मनसा यदि मन्यसे । वरुणं लोकपालानां सुहृद्वाक्यमिदं शृूणु,“यदि तुम ठीक समझती हो तो लोकपालोंमें प्रसिद्ध वरुणको नि:शंक होकर अपना पति बनाओ। यह एक हितैषी सुहृदका वचन है, इसे सुनो”
bṛhadaśva uvāca | kriyatām aviśaṅkena manasā yadi manyase | varuṇaṃ lokapālānāṃ suhṛd-vākyam idaṃ śṛṇu |
If you deem it proper, then with a mind free from doubt, accept Varuṇa—renowned among the Lokapālas, the world-guardians—as your husband. This is the counsel of a well-wishing friend; listen to it.
बृहदश्व उवाच
The verse emphasizes making a major life decision—here, choosing a spouse—without inner suspicion or wavering, while also valuing the sincere counsel of a well-wishing friend.
