त्वया तु संगमो देव यदि स्याद् विधिवर्जित: । मन्निमित्तं कुलस्यास्य लोके कीर्ति्निशेत् ततः,भगवन! यदि आपके साथ मेरा वेदोक्त विधिके विपरीत समागम हो तो मेरे ही कारण जगत्में इस कुलकी कीर्ति नष्ट हो जायगी
tvayā tu saṅgamo deva yadi syād vidhivarjitaḥ | mannimittaṃ kulasyāsya loke kīrtiḥ naśyet tataḥ ||
“O Lord, if my union with you were to occur in a manner contrary to the Vedic rule, then because of me the good fame of this lineage would be destroyed in the eyes of the world.”
