सन्ति चान्यानि सत्त्वानि वीर्यवन्ति महान्ति च । न तु तेषां तथा दीप्ति: प्रभावो वा यथा तव,ब्रद्मतोकसहित ऊपरके सातों लोकोंमें तथा अन्य सब लोकोंमें भी ऐसा कोई प्राणी नहीं दीखता जो आप भगवान् सूर्यसे बढ़कर हो। भगवन्! जगतमें और भी बहुत-से महान् शक्तिशाली प्राणी हैं; परंतु उनकी कान्ति और प्रभाव आपके समान नहीं हैं। सम्पूर्ण ज्योतिर्मय पदार्थ आपके ही अन्तर्गत हैं। आप ही समस्त ज्योतियोंके स्वामी हैं। सत्य, सत्त्व तथा समस्त सात्त्विक भाव आपमें ही प्रतिष्ठित हैं। 'शार्इ” नामक धनुष धारण करनेवाले भगवान् विष्णुने जिसके द्वारा दैत्योंका घमंड चूर्ण किया है उस सुदर्शन चक्रको विश्वकर्माने आपके ही तेजसे बनाया है
santi cānyāni sattvāni vīryavanti mahānti ca | na tu teṣāṃ tathā dīptiḥ prabhāvo vā yathā tava ||
Yudhiṣṭhira said: “There are indeed other mighty and great beings in the world; yet none of them possesses radiance or power comparable to yours. Your splendor surpasses all, and by you the measure of brilliance in the cosmos is known.”
