वेगेनोत्पततस्तस्य पेतुस्ते रजनीचरा: । भुवि सम्मभिन्नह्दया: प्रहारवरपीडिता:,उछलते समय उनके वेगसे छूटकर वे चारों राक्षस पृथ्वीपर जा गिरे। उन राक्षसोंकी छाती फट गयी और अधिक चोट लगनेके कारण उन्हें बड़ी पीड़ा हुई

vegenotpatatas tasya petus te rajanīcarāḥ | bhuvi sammabhinnahṛdayāḥ prahāravarapīḍitāḥ ||

Mārkaṇḍeya said: As he sprang up with tremendous speed, those night-roaming rākṣasas were shaken loose and fell down upon the earth. Their hearts were shattered, and, crushed by the force of the blows, they suffered intense pain.
