द्विमासोपरमे काले व्यतीते प्लवगास्ततः । सुग्रीवमभिगम्येदं त्वरिता वाक्यमन्रुवन्,दो मास व्यतीत हो जानेपर कुछ वानर बड़ी उतावलीके साथ सुग्रीवके पास आये और इस प्रकार कहने लगे---
dvimāsoparame kāle vyatīte plavagās tataḥ | sugrīvam abhigamyedaṃ tvaritā vākyam anvruvan ||
When the further period of two months had elapsed, the monkeys hurried to Sugriva, approached him, and spoke these words in haste—
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
