वैशम्पायन उवाच
When one is trapped in anxiety over an approaching moral dilemma, steadiness and right action arise from wise counsel and trust in dharma; the verse frames Krishna’s direct appearance as timely guidance that redirects fear into a dharmic solution.
The Pandavas are seen overwhelmed with worry and repeatedly sighing; at that moment Krishna appears before them and begins to speak, initiating the guidance that will address their crisis (contextually linked with the impending visit of Durvāsā and the demands of hospitality).
