द्रौपदी-शैब्यसंवादः — Draupadī’s Identification and Counsel on Hospitality
स सुहृच्छोकदो जात: शत्रूणां हर्षवर्धन: । वारणाह्नयमासाद्य कि वक्ष्यामि जनाधिपम्,परंतु आज मैं अपने सुहृदोंके लिये शोकदायक और शत्रुओंका हर्ष बढ़ानेवाला हो गया। हस्तिनापुर जाकर मैं राजासे क्या कहूँगा?
sa suhṛcchokado jātaḥ śatrūṇāṃ harṣavardhanaḥ | vāraṇāhṇayam āsādya kiṃ vakṣyāmi janādhipam |
“But today I have become one who brings grief to my own well-wishers and who increases the joy of my enemies. Having to return to Hastinapura, what can I possibly say to the king?”
