The Hunter said: “Through association I became foremost in the use of the bow, O twice-born. O Brahmin, it is because of my own faults that I have fallen into this wretched condition. In a former birth, when I was a Brahmin, I became friends with a king devoted to the science of archery. By keeping his company I took up training in that discipline, and I attained exceptional skill in the art of shooting the bow.”
