आरण्यकपर्वणि अध्यायः २१६ — इन्द्र-स्कन्द-संमुखता वज्रप्रहारश्च
Indra approaches Skanda; vajra strike and the arising of Viśākha
ब्राह्मण उवाच यदेतदुक्तं भवता सर्व सत्यमसंशयम् | प्रीतो5स्मि तव भद्र| ते धर्माचारगुणान्वित
brāhmaṇa uvāca | yad etad uktaṃ bhavatā sarvaṃ satyam asaṃśayam | prīto 'smi tava bhadra te dharmācāra-guṇānvitā ||
The Brahmin said: “What you have stated is entirely true, without any doubt. I am pleased with you. Blessings upon you—endowed as you are with dharma, good conduct, and noble qualities.”
ब्राह्मण उवाच
Truthful speech grounded in dharma and right conduct deserves trust and respect; ethical authority can be recognized through the clarity and certainty of one’s truthful instruction.
The Brahmin responds to the hunter’s discourse by affirming that it is unquestionably true and expresses heartfelt approval, offering a blessing and praising the hunter’s dharma, good conduct, and virtues.
