सैनिकान् मम सूतं च हयांश्व समवाकिरत् । अचिन्तयन्तस्तु शरान् वयं युध्याम भारत,मेरे सारथि, घोड़ों तथा सैनिकोंपर उसने भी बाणोंकी झड़ी लगा दी। भारत! उसके बाणोंकी बौछारको कुछ न समझकर मैं युद्धमें ही लगा रहा
sainikān mama sūtaṃ ca hayāṃś ca samavākirat | acintayantas tu śarān vayaṃ yudhyāma bhārata ||
Vāsudeva said: “He showered arrows upon my soldiers, my charioteer, and my horses as well. Yet, O Bhārata, treating that hail of arrows as of no consequence, we kept on fighting.”
वासुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights steadfastness in the face of danger: even when one’s support system (charioteer, horses, troops) is targeted, a warrior is expected to remain composed and continue the duty of battle without being mentally shaken.
Vāsudeva describes an opponent unleashing a dense volley of arrows that strikes his soldiers, charioteer, and horses. Despite the intensity of the attack, Vāsudeva says they disregarded it and continued fighting.
