तैः प्रहृष्टात्मभिवीरिराशीर्भिरभिनन्दित: । वाचयित्वा द्विजश्रेष्ठान् प्रणम्य शिरसाभवम्
taiḥ prahṛṣṭātmabhir vīrair āśīrbhir abhinanditaḥ | vācayitvā dvijaśreṣṭhān praṇamya śirasābhavam ||
Honoured and gladdened by the blessings of those heroic men whose hearts were uplifted, I had the foremost of the twice-born recite the auspicious words; then, bowing my head in reverence, I became composed and ready to proceed.
वासुदेव उवाच
The verse emphasizes dharmic conduct: receiving blessings with gratitude, honoring learned brāhmaṇas, and responding with humility (bowing the head). Ethical strength is shown not only in heroism but in reverence and self-discipline.
Vāsudeva describes being welcomed and blessed by heroic companions; he then has eminent brāhmaṇas recite auspicious words and, after bowing respectfully, becomes settled and prepared to move forward.
