Educational Q&A

The verse frames dharma as something to be repeatedly heard and reflected upon: Yudhiṣṭhira’s renewed request highlights the importance of revisiting kṣatriya ideals—courage, protection of subjects, restraint, and righteous conduct—through exemplary narratives.

Vaiśampāyana reports that Yudhiṣṭhira speaks again, asking for a further narration about the greatness and exemplary conduct of kṣatriyas, continuing the didactic exchange within the Vana Parva.
