विवदन्तौ तथा तौ तु मुनीनां दर्शने स्थितौ । ये तस्य यज्ञे संवृत्तास्तेडपृच्छन्त कथं त्विमौ,मुनियोंके सामने खड़े होकर जब वे दोनों इस प्रकार विवाद कर रहे थे, उस समय उन्हें देखकर जिनका यज्ञमें पहलेसे वरण हो चुका था, वे ब्राह्मण पूछने लगे--'ये दोनों कैसे लड़ रहे हैं?
Translation
As the two of them stood before the sages and argued in that manner, the Brahmins who had already been chosen for his sacrifice saw them and asked: “Why are these two quarreling?”
