Description of the Monsoon and Autumn; Sarasvatī in the Pāṇḍavas’ Exile
Vaiśampāyana said: Thus the radiant Bhīma too was brought under the control of that serpent. Though he writhed and struggled little by little, he could not manage to make any effective effort to free himself.
The verse highlights the limits of brute strength: even a mighty hero can be restrained by circumstances beyond physical power, prompting the need for patience, discernment, and reliance on wiser means than force alone.
Bhīma has been seized and controlled by a powerful serpent (ajagara). He struggles gradually, but despite his might he cannot move freely or escape.
