काउ्चनै: कदलीषण्डैर्मन्दमारुतकम्पितै: । वीज्यमानमिवाक्षोभ्यं तीरात्‌ तीरविसर्पिभि:,उस सरोवरके एक तीरसे लेकर दूसरे तीरतक फैले हुए सुवर्णमय केलेके वृक्ष मन्द वायुसे विकम्पित होकर मानो उस अगाध जलाशयको पंखा झल रहे थे

Transliteration

kāñcanaiḥ kadalīṣaṇḍair mandamārutakampitaiḥ | vījyamānam ivākṣobhyaṃ tīrāt tīravisarpibhiḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: Along the lake’s edge, clusters of golden banana trees, gently stirred by a mild breeze and spreading from bank to bank, seemed as though they were fanning that deep, unagitated reservoir.
