somāhauśvināv etāv adyaprabhṛti bhārgava | bhaviṣyataḥ satyam etad vaco vipraḥ prasīda me ||
Lomaśa said: “O Bhārgava, from this very day the two Aśvins shall be entitled to drink Soma. This statement will indeed prove true. O brāhmaṇa, be gracious to me.”
लोगमश उवाच
The verse foregrounds satya (truthfulness) and the binding force of a declared commitment: granting rightful honor/ritual share and seeking reconciliation through a truthful pledge.
A promise is articulated to the Bhārgava sage that the Aśvin twins will, from that day onward, be recognized as entitled to Soma; the speaker asks the brāhmaṇa to be pleased, indicating a move to appease the sage and settle a dispute over ritual privilege.
