Chapter 125
चैत्याश्वैते बहुविधास्त्रिदशानां युधिष्ठिर । एतच्चन्द्रमसस्तीर्थमृषय: पर्युपासते । वैखानसा बालखिल्या: पावका वायुभोजना:
Lomāśa uvāca — caityāś caite bahuvidhās tridashānāṁ Yudhiṣṭhira | etac candramasas tīrtham ṛṣayaḥ paryupāsate | vaikhānasā bālakhilyāḥ pāvakā vāyubhojanāḥ, Yudhiṣṭhira |
Lomāśa said: “O Yudhiṣṭhira, here stand many shrines of the gods, of diverse kinds. This is the Moon’s sacred ford, revered and attended by seers. Here dwell the Vaikhānasa sages called the Bālakhilyas—pure and purifying, living on air. Therefore, circumambulate these holy peaks and springs as you wish, and then bathe; for disciplined pilgrimage and reverent bathing cleanse the mind and steady one in dharma.”
