Akṛtavraṇa’s Account Begins: Gādhi–Satyavatī–Ṛcīka and the Bhārgava Lineage Prelude
तेजसा वर्चसा चैव युक्त भार्गवनन्दनम् | स वर्धमानस्तेजस्वी वेदस्याध्ययनेन च
tejasā varcasā caiva yuktaṃ bhārgavanandanam | sa vardhamānas tejasvī vedasyādhyayanena ca
Akṛtavraṇa said: “Endowed with spiritual power and radiant splendor, the beloved son of Bhṛgu’s line grew ever more resplendent; and through the disciplined study of the Veda his inner brilliance continued to increase.”
अकृतव्रण उवाच
True brilliance is not merely physical or social prestige; it is cultivated through disciplined learning—especially Vedic study—together with purity and inner power (tejas and varcas).
The speaker describes how the Bhārgava hero, already endowed with radiance and power, becomes increasingly resplendent as he continues his Vedic studies, highlighting growth through sustained discipline.
