सिंहव्याप्रैर्महानादान्नदद्धिरनुनादितम्‌ । अपरैश्नापि संलीनैर्गुहाकन्दरशायिभि:

Transliteration

siṁhavyāghrair mahānādān nadadbhiḥ anunāditam | aparaiś ca api saṁlīnair guhākandaraśāyibhiḥ ||

Translation

Lomāśa said: “It was made to resound again and again by lions and tigers, roaring with mighty cries; and also by other beasts that lay hidden, dwelling in caves and rocky hollows.”
