एष दुर्योधन पुत्रं तव राजन् महानृषि: । अनुशास्ता यथान्यायं शमायास्य कुलस्य च,महाराज! ये महर्षि ही इस कुलकी शान्तिके लिये तुम्हारे पुत्र दुर्योधनको यथायोग्य शिक्षा देंगे
eṣa duryodhana putraṁ tava rājan mahānṛṣiḥ | anuśāstā yathānyāyaṁ śamāyāsya kulasya ca mahārāja |
O King, here is a great sage. For the sake of peace in this lineage, he will instruct your son Duryodhana in the proper manner, according to what is right and fitting.
व्यास उवाच
That rightful, disciplined instruction (yathā-nyāyam anuśāsana) is necessary to restore peace in a family and polity; a king should accept wise counsel aimed at reconciliation rather than escalation.
Vyāsa addresses the king and points out the presence of a great sage who will properly instruct and admonish Duryodhana, with the explicit goal of bringing peace to the lineage.
