“Set us firmly upon the right paths. You yourself stand steady in dharma, on its noble and well-trodden way, and bring us too onto that same righteous course.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Those with authority—especially elders—must themselves remain established in dharma and actively guide dependents back to the righteous path when they stray.
Within the Udyoga Parva’s counsel-filled setting, a plea is voiced urging a senior figure to uphold dharma personally and to correct and reorient ‘us’ onto the proper moral course.
