Security and a good life are sustained through the protective network of dharmic relationships—family elders, siblings, descendants, and true friends—implying that wise counsel favors stability and well-guarded living over needless escalation.
In Udyoga Parva’s pre-war deliberations, Vaiśampāyana narrates a line of counsel emphasizing that one can live comfortably when surrounded and safeguarded by supportive kin and well-wishers, reflecting the broader attempt to avert catastrophe through prudent advice.
