Dambhodbhava, Nara-Nārāyaṇa, and the Counsel to Abandon Hubris
Udyoga-parva 94
स्वयं निष्फलमालक्ष्य संविधत्स्व विशाम्पते । सहायभूता भरतास्तवैव स्युर्जनेश्वर
O lord of the people, ruler of men, protector of your subjects! Seeing for yourself that enmity and dispute with the Pāṇḍavas can yield no good end, strive of your own accord to make peace and conclude an alliance. O king of men! If you do so, the Pāṇḍavas—scions of Bharata—will become your very helpers.
