स्तनौ पीनायतश्रोणी सहितावभिवर्षती । द्रवीभूतमिवात्युष्णं मुडचन्ती वारि नेत्रजम्‌,इतना कहनेके बाद पीन एवं विशाल नितम्बोंवाली विशाललोचना ट्रुपदकुमारी कृष्णाका कण्ठ आँसुओंसे रुँँध गया। वह काँपती हुई अश्लुगद्गद वाणीमें फूट-फूटकर रोने लगी। उसके परस्पर सटे हुए स्तनोंपर नेत्रोंसे गरम-गरम आँसुओंकी वर्षा होने लगी; मानो वह अपने भीतरकी द्रवीभूत क्रोधाग्निको ही उन वाष्पबिन्दुओंके रूपमें बिखेर रही हो

stanau pīnāyataśroṇī sahitāv abhivarṣatī | dravībhūtam ivātyuṣṇaṃ muñcantī vāri netrajam ||

Vaiśampāyana said: The daughter of Drupada—Kṛṣṇā—her hips full and broad, poured forth tears. Hot as if melted within, the water born of her eyes rained down upon her breasts pressed close together, as though she were casting out, in burning drops, the liquefied fire of her wrath and grief.
