Udyoga Parva, Chapter 81: Krishna Sets Out as Envoy

Vaiśampāyana said: “Therefore, O Acyuta, a severe punishment should be swiftly inflicted upon those men. And you too, O mighty-armed one, together with the Pāṇḍavas and the Sūñjayas, ought to act at once—administering due chastisement to those enemies.”
When wrongdoing persists and peaceful measures are exhausted, swift and proportionate punishment becomes a duty aligned with dharma—protecting order and restraining aggressors rather than tolerating injustice.
The speaker urges Kṛṣṇa (Acyuta) and the Pāṇḍavas, together with their allies the Sūñjayas, to act promptly against their adversaries by imposing a strong punitive response—signaling a turn from negotiation toward decisive enforcement.
