Dvārakāyāṃ Sāhāyya-vibhāgaḥ (Alliance Allocation at Dvārakā) / उद्योगपर्व अध्याय ७
इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत उद्योगपर्वके अन्तर्गत सेनोट्ोगपर्वमें पुरोहितप्रस्थानविषयक छठा अध्याय पूरा हुआ,तमेव दिवसं चापि कौन्तेय: पाण्डुनन्दन: । आनर्तनगरीं रम्यां जगामाशु धनंजय:
tameva divasaṃ cāpi kaunteyaḥ pāṇḍunandanaḥ | ānartanagarīṃ ramyāṃ jagāmāśu dhanañjayaḥ ||
That very day as well, the son of Kuntī—Pāṇḍu’s beloved son, Dhanañjaya (Arjuna)—quickly set out and reached the delightful city of Ānarta. The narrative signals purposeful movement in the face of impending conflict: Arjuna proceeds without delay, suggesting urgency, resolve, and the dharmic necessity of seeking alliances and right counsel before war.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even before open conflict, dharma requires timely, deliberate action—securing support, counsel, and rightful means. Arjuna’s swift departure reflects disciplined resolve and responsible preparation rather than impulsive aggression.
Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates that on that very day Arjuna (Dhanañjaya), son of Kuntī and Pāṇḍu, quickly goes to the pleasant city of Ānarta—traditionally associated with the Dvārakā region—indicating a mission connected with alliance and strategy in the Udyoga Parva’s pre-war developments.
