पृथगक्षौहिणी भ्यां तु पाण्डवानभिसंश्रितौ | महारथौ समाख्यातावुभौ पुरुषमानिनौ,अपनेको पौरुषशाली वीर माननेवाले वे दोनों विख्यात महारथी अलग-अलग एक-एक अक्षौहिणी सेनाके साथ पाण्डवोंकी सहायताके लिये आये हैं
pṛthag akṣauhiṇībhyāṃ tu pāṇḍavān abhiśaṃśritau | mahārathau samākhyātāv ubhau puruṣamāninau ||
Sañjaya said: “Those two renowned great chariot-warriors—each proud of his manly prowess—came separately, each with an entire akṣauhiṇī division, and placed themselves in support of the Pāṇḍavas.”
संजय उवाच
